Question 1

Is remapping safe for my engine?

Accepted Answer

Every file we write stays inside the manufacturer's own safety margins for exhaust gas temperature, cylinder pressure and turbo speed. We log before and after, and we won't map a car that isn't mechanically healthy.

Question 2

Will it affect my warranty?

Accepted Answer

A remap can affect a manufacturer warranty on powertrain items. We can return your car to the original file at any time free of charge, and we always store your factory data.

Question 3

How long does it take?

Accepted Answer

Most Stage 1 work is done in 45 minutes to an hour, at your home or workplace. Stage 2 and custom development takes longer depending on the platform and how much road logging is needed.

Question 4

Do I need to change anything on the car first?

Accepted Answer

For Stage 1, no. A healthy standard car is all that's required. Stage 2 needs the supporting hardware fitted and a recent service, ideally with fresh plugs on petrol engines.

Question 5

Will my fuel economy get worse?

Accepted Answer

Driven the same way, most cars use slightly less fuel because the engine spends less time working hard. Enjoy the extra torque and it will use more; that part is up to your right foot.

Question 6

Can you remove or tune specific functions?

Accepted Answer

We tune what's legal for road use in your market and we're straight with you about what we won't touch. Track-only work is discussed case by case with written confirmation of use.

Question 7

Do you cover my vehicle?

Accepted Answer

We support most petrol and diesel platforms from 2005 onward, plus vans, pickups and agricultural. Send your reg through the contact form and we'll confirm within a few hours.

Question 8

What if I'm not happy with the result?

Accepted Answer

We revert to your factory file and refund the work in full. It rarely happens, but the offer stands on every remap we do.
